Despite being a high achiever, this mentee had imposter syndrome. A feeling that was built over time after facing multiple rejections for a promotion they were over qualified for because of their ethnicity.

Solutions
A mindset switch to fight against imposter syndrome
After their first session with Lenna, the mentee went on a journey, where Lenna learnt a lot more about their aspirations, where their passions lie, what gets them up in the morning and where they want to be. They also reviewed what they were good at.
This was a catalyst to help them reframe their imposter syndrome with a list of solid wins they know they’ve achieved. Moving them away from a limiting mindset of “How can someone with a very narrow view of the future, with imposter syndrome, think they can get anywhere?” as well as providing them with the tools they need to address this to set them up well for the future.
A way forward
The mentee worked closely with Lenna to figure out a strategy to douse the fires they were fighting. Within a few month's timeframe they were able to reduce the stress and learnt how to delegate their workload.
A new, more confident person
After working with Lenna for a year, they’ve managed to find their dream job, triple their salary and get a title promotion. Currently, they’re happy where they are, are more confident in holding themselves and have also become a speaker – something they never thought could happen. They’re still working with Lenna by their side as a strategic advisor, mentor and friend. We couldn’t be prouder.
